After careful consideration, Islington selected e-mango as their supplier for an online events system at the end of December 2008. Both parties have worked closely together in partnership to get the site live, and an amazing 3 months later the sytem is live providing details of over 1000 sessions. The Islington Project Manager Barbara Keating praised the effort of the e-mango team, who were working against a tight deadline “Thanks for all your help on this, we appreciate the extra lengths you are going to to make it all happen on time”.
The Islington events take place amongst the variety of parks, youth clubs, leisure centres, museums and schools within the Borough. Using the system residents can search for events by venue, type of event or date.
Islington selected the e-mango 905 which is a dynamic web application integrating many modules which can be configured to suit the client’s specific needs. The 905 was initially developed as a website Content Management System for the town and parish council market but has proved its adaptability for a range of other markets including the Charity sector, small business and central government.
