Islington Heatwave
Islington Council banished boredom for its children and young people this summer through its HEATWAVE programme of events. All of the event details were available online through a web solution from e-mango that was tailored to meet the Council’s needs.
Over 300 courses and events for 3-19 year olds, keeping them engaged and entertained over the long summer holiday.
There is great interest in the approach that Islington council spearheaded and e mango will be working in partnership with Islington and other councils to make this system more widely available. The advantage with e-mango is that they will not just leave you with a system, they work as a partner to provide the online strategy and support to really make a long-term difference.
The Islington Events system has been shortlisted for the Data Publishers Association 2009 awards, in the Directory of the Year category.
